In the third episode of the Pause to Remember Podcast, Christy Orndorff, RN shares a conversation with Amy Pelkey, CRNA about raising money for Butterfly Angels at Valley View Farm. They also talk about healthcare providers grieving after pregnancy or infant loss.
In 2017, Christy was named "Nurse of the Year" at the academic medical center where she cares for many patients and their families. With over 30 years of experience, she has many insights and thoughtful suggestions for anyone grieving after loss.
Christy resides at Valley View Farm that dates back to 1905. Here, her family breeds Belgian draft horses and hold events in a renovated barn. These events include everything from weddings to celebrations of life.
The events in the barn help fund Butterfly Angels, a bereavement organization supporting grieving parents in Waynesburg, PA and the surrounding communities.
